Even by his standards as Steward of the Apocalypse, Dane Moses Stone is about to have a very bad day . . . in promising fantasy author Linc Hansen’s urban fantasy series Steward of the Apocalypse.

During the ancient days when dragons still wandered the earth, my family was tasked with preventing the Apocalypse. This stewardship has been passed down through generations until it came to me, Dane Moses Stone. Armed with the magical power entrusted to my bloodline and the lightning in my veins, I am the last line of defense against supernatural forces that would bring today’s urban world to its knees--and then some.

Think your job has a tough learning curve? Go ahead, live your fantasy.

Most Stewards train for decades before assuming the role. My training was cut short three years ago when my father disappeared.

If I fail, the weight of every man’s, woman’s, and child’s torment lays squarely on my shoulders.

Good thing there’s no pressure.

Golem Protocol Steward of the Apocalypse edition by Linc Hansen Literature Fiction eBooks

This book has a strong concept, good ideas, decent characters, humor, and all the things that combine to make a really good book.

The main character is from a long bloodline of stewards of the world, who happens to be having a really rough couple of days due to what I'll call a seriously increased workload.

He's up against it from the moment the book starts to the last page. I go in for fast paced action packed story lines, but one of the flaws in the book is the lack of background the author gives in order to serve up non stop action. The character development is a bit lacking, a few major plot items are introduced and not really explained well, and some things just happen for no reason or with no explanation that seem out of place. This book had the feel of a third book in a trilogy, where the development is out of the way and you can pile on emergencies until the blowout at the end.

All that being said, this book has a lot of fun moments, and original concepts, if this guy can get a hold of the right editor, his future books will probably be amazing. I'm looking forward to reading something new from him.

It's worth checking out for sure.

Golem Protocol Steward of the Apocalypse edition by Linc Hansen Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

This was a fun book to read with an interesting new type of magic. If you like Urban Fantasy or the Fantasy genre in general this is a great book for you.

It reminded me of the Alex Verus series (which I also really enjoyed), the major difference was that you don't have to worry about your children reading this due to the occasional bad language I've found prominent in the Verus series and some other Urban Fantasy.
Ok, I'm ready for a follow up. I'm thinking this is the best book I've read all year. It's a nice excursion from waiting for the next Game of Thrones. When I saw this I had to give it a shot.

It's really well written and adds a cool edge to the traditional fantasy/scifi sub genre. The Characters are fleshed out, fun and believable.

I'm interested to see what the author does next. Hopefully a sequel.

I say give it a chance.
An excellent read for teens and adults. I was hooked by the second chapter and didn't want to put the book down! The author makes you identify with Dane, makes the hero human with just enough magic and mystery to keep the suspense. Enough action to keep the story moving. Can't wait for the next installment of a promising new series! Best of luck to a new author and look forward to more background on the bloodline that protects us from the monsters among us!
The Golem Protocol is a very interesting read, with lots of twists and turns! The final battle was hard for me because I wanted certain people to win more quickly and not suffer so much but that's my only gripe.=) I'd like to see what the author has up his sleeve for his next book! It could be the start of a great series!
I am not much for writing reviews so I will just say that this was a very good book. It was one
that I could not put down. Needless to say I finished it in one setting. The action just never
let up. I am waiting for more books from this author. I have moved him very high on my list
of authors whose books that I do not want to miss.
I loved the witty humor of the main character Dane! I was laughing with him all the way. It was suspenseful and you don't know what trouble He is going to get into each chapter. I felt sorry for him and I cheered for him. I loved how the author introduced all the characters and the places that Dane had to interact with. You never put technology and magic together and I loved how the author did that. I would love my own personal "computer assistant" Tina!
It is a book that I keep thinking about. I really hope that Linc Hansen will write a sequel or other books. I would read another one of his books.
very interesting, sometimes humorous, maintained my attention throughout.
would recommend. hope the author writes a sequel. a better title maybe would draw
more readers as I myself am drawn to a books title before I make a decision to read. Just took a
chance on this one and was pleasantly surprised. after I read a sample. I give it 4 stars.
